HOW EMPEZO HALLOWEEN Hace some thousands of years, the Celtas was in which now we know like the Great Britain and France, and celebrated the New Year the 1 of November, that is which they began at night with the subject from the 31 of October. But, incomprehensible thing,  is not emborrachaban! as it is now custom (that occasion waste…), but that they took it with much seriousness, and their priests dedicated the night to Samhain, the horseman of the death.   Great bonfires ignited; horses and, some times, until humans were sacrificed to drive away to the witches and the malignant spirits; then it is that in the Celta custom the deads returned, at night from Samhain, to request foods to the provincial scared ones to those who victims cursed and did of their spells if they did not accede to its requests (or it give me or I do a prank to you, that is the translation of “Trick or Treat”).  HISTORY DE HALLOWEEN Halloween is a celebration of the Anglo-Saxon culture that is celebrated at night of day 31 of October.  Their origins have been going back to celtas, for more than 2,500 years, when the year celta finished at the end of the summer, day 31 of October of our calendar (Samhain). The cattle was taken from the meadows to the stables for the winter. That last day, assumed that the spirits could leave the cemeteries and seize of the bodies of the alive ones to revive, to request foods to them and to curse to them. Victims did to them of spells if they did not accede to his requests: it give something me or I do a prank to you, that is the translation of “Trick or Treat” (Trick or Treatment).  In order to avoid it, the towns celtas soiled the houses and “they decorated them” with bones, disagreeable skulls and other things, so that the scared deads happened of length. From the tradition comes there to also decorate with sinister reasons the houses in the present eve for all the saints and the disguises. It is therefore a celebration associated to the coming of the pagan Gods to the life.  The church of Rome decided to turn the festividad to the catholicism. The 1 of November like the Day of All the Saints, that in England denominated “All Hallows' Day”, and the previous night “All Hallows' was instituted Eve” who later derived in “Halloween”.   The celebration was exported to the United States by European emigrants in century XIX, towards 1846. Nevertheless it did not begin to be celebrated massively until 1921. That year the first parade of Halloween in Minnesota was celebrated and soon they followed other states to him. The internationalization of Halloween took place at the end of the years 70 and principles of 80 thanks to the cinema and the series of television.  At the present time the children disguise themselves for the occasion and take a walk by the streets requesting sweet of door in door. After calling to the door the children “Trick or treatment” pronounces the phrase. If the adults give caramels them, money or any other type of compensates, is interpreted that they have accepted the treatment. If on the contrary they refuse, the boys will crack a small joke to them.  Halloween is a celebration based on the living fear, death, deads, the black magic and the mystical monsters. The “personages” who usually are associated to Halloween include the black ghosts, witches, cats, the trasgos, banshees, zombis and the demons, as well as certain literary figures like Drácula and the monster of Frankenstein. Celtas the 31 of October used to disguise themselves with animal skins and thus not to be discovered by the spirits who, according to them, that night recovered life. Of the present custom to disguise that day there. The traditional colors of Halloween are the black at night and the orange of the first lights of the day. The symbols of Halloween also include autumnal elements like the pumpkins and the espantapájaros.
