HOW EMPEZO HALLOWEEN Hace some thousands of years, the Celtas was in which now we know like the Great Britain and France, and celebrated the New Year the 1 of November, that is which they began at night with the subject from the 31 of October. But, incomprehensible thing,  is not emborrachaban! as it is now custom (that occasion waste…), but that they took it with much seriousness, and their priests dedicated the night to Samhain, the horseman of the death.   Great bonfires ignited; horses and, some times, until humans were sacrificed to drive away to the witches and the malignant spirits; then it is that in the Celta custom the deads returned, at night from Samhain, to request foods to the provincial scared ones to those who victims cursed and did of their spells if they did not accede to its requests (or it give me or I do a prank to you, that is the translation of “Trick or Treat”).  HISTORY DE HALLOWEEN Halloween is a celebration of the Anglo-Saxon culture that is celebrated at night of day 31 of October.  Their origins have been going back to celtas, for more than 2,500 years, when the year celta finished at the end of the summer, day 31 of October of our calendar (Samhain). The cattle was taken from the meadows to the stables for the winter. That last day, assumed that the spirits could leave the cemeteries and seize of the bodies of the alive ones to revive, to request foods to them and to curse to them. Victims did to them of spells if they did not accede to his requests: it give something me or I do a prank to you, that is the translation of “Trick or Treat” (Trick or Treatment).  In order to avoid it, the towns celtas soiled the houses and “they decorated them” with bones, disagreeable skulls and other things, so that the scared deads happened of length. From the tradition comes there to also decorate with sinister reasons the houses in the present eve for all the saints and the disguises. It is therefore a celebration associated to the coming of the pagan Gods to the life.  The church of Rome decided to turn the festividad to the catholicism. The 1 of November like the Day of All the Saints, that in England denominated “All Hallows' Day”, and the previous night “All Hallows' was instituted Eve” who later derived in “Halloween”.   The celebration was exported to the United States by European emigrants in century XIX, towards 1846. Nevertheless it did not begin to be celebrated massively until 1921. That year the first parade of Halloween in Minnesota was celebrated and soon they followed other states to him. The internationalization of Halloween took place at the end of the years 70 and principles of 80 thanks to the cinema and the series of television.  At the present time the children disguise themselves for the occasion and take a walk by the streets requesting sweet of door in door. After calling to the door the children “Trick or treatment” pronounces the phrase. If the adults give caramels them, money or any other type of compensates, is interpreted that they have accepted the treatment. If on the contrary they refuse, the boys will crack a small joke to them.  Halloween is a celebration based on the living fear, death, deads, the black magic and the mystical monsters. The “personages” who usually are associated to Halloween include the black ghosts, witches, cats, the trasgos, banshees, zombis and the demons, as well as certain literary figures like Drácula and the monster of Frankenstein. Celtas the 31 of October used to disguise themselves with animal skins and thus not to be discovered by the spirits who, according to them, that night recovered life. Of the present custom to disguise that day there. The traditional colors of Halloween are the black at night and the orange of the first lights of the day. The symbols of Halloween also include autumnal elements like the pumpkins and the espantapájaros.

SONG IN WILL

xikablack666 26/11/2007 @ 18:10
    III. ENGLISH SONG: (WILL)

Artista: Marrón 5
Álbum: Songs About Jane
Canción: She will be loved

Beauty queen of only eighteen
She had some trouble with herself
He was always there to help her
She always belonged to someone else

I drove for miles and miles
And wound up at your door
I´ve had you so many times but somehow
I want more

I don´t mind spending everyday
Out on your corner in the pouring rain
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay awhile
And she will be loved
She will be loved

Tap on my window knock on my door
I want to make you feel beautiful
I know I tend to get so insecure
It doesn´t matter anymore

It´s not always rainbows and butterflies
It´s compromise that moves us along
My heart is full and my door´s always open
You can come anytime you want

I don´t mind spending everyday
Out on your corner in the pouring rain
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay awhile
And she will be loved
She will be loved

I know where you hide
Alone in your car
Know all of the things that make you who you are
I know that goodbye means nothing at all
Comes back and begs me to catch her every time she falls

Tap on my window knock on my door
I want to make you feel beautiful

I don´t mind spending everyday
Out on your corner in the pouring rain
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay awhile
And she will be loved
And she will be loved
And she will be loved
And she will be loved

[in the backround]
Please don´t try so hard to say goobye
Please don´t try so hard to say goobye

Yeah
[softly]
I don´t mind spending everyday
Out on your corner in the pouring rain

Try so hard to say goobye

HALLOWEEN

xikablack666 26/11/2007 @ 18:09

hallowen_211.gifCelebrations:

On Thanksgiving Day is a traditional celebration of the Anglo-Saxon North. In the United States celebrated the fourth Thursday of November, although originally made last Thursday. In Canada, for its part, is celebrated on the second Monday in October. It is regularly a big family celebration, in which people are reunited with their relatives around the table, performing traditional celebrations.

Traditions:

The feast is closely related to the events of the first English settlement in the New World. In 1620 a group of Christian settlers, who later would be known as pilgrims traveled to America aboard the Mayflower ship. Disembarked in November, in the late autumn, on the coast of Massachusetts (on the east coast of the United States) to fulfill its purpose in establishing the Plymouth Colony. The harsh winter in these latitudes took them by surprise, without taking time to prepare for harsh conditions of deprivation and cold. Of the hundred pilgrims did not survive half of them. Those who did so, they had to fend for aid and food that natives of the area, the Wampanoag Indians, they provided.

In the fall of 1621, already in place and with the first crop harvested, the survivors decided to share their results with the Indians who helped them when they had no resources. The governor of the colony proclaimed "a day of thanksgiving to the Lord for us in a more special rejoice after having collected the fruit of our work."

This peaceful coexistence with the natives last few years, as the massive influx of European settlers and the occupation of the territories of growing indigenous people out of their ongoing. The result of such confrontamientos was the almost total extermination of the Wampanoag Indians. After the so-called King Philip's War in 1675, only survived 400.

Although the tradition dates from 1621 and has been held in one way or another since then, the celebration as an official holiday is more recent. In 1789, the first president of the United States, George Washington proclaimed the date as a national day of Thanksgiving. In 1863, Abraham Lincoln declared that the celebration should take place as a national holiday in the United States. However, it was not until 1941 that Congress set the date as a federal holloween

A. Halloween

Information:

Halloween is a holiday from Celtic culture that takes place primarily in the United States on the night of October 31. Children are disguised for the occasion and walk through the streets demanding candy door to door. After calling at the door children uttered the phrase "Trick or Treat" or "Sweet or trick" (from the phrase "trick or treat"). If adults give them candy, money or any other type of reward, is interpreted to have accepted the deal. If on the other hand they refuse, the boys will spend a little joke, the most common throw eggs or shaving foam against the door.
The word Halloween is a derivation of the phrase All Hallow's Eve (Eve Day Saints). It was held in Anglo-Saxon countries, mainly in Canada, the United States, Ireland and the United Kingdom. But now celebrated in almost all Western countries with a greater or lesser presence.

Its origins go back to the Celts , and the feast was exported to the United States by Irish immigrants especially in the nineteenth century, more or less toward 1846. The expansive force of the culture of USA That Halloween has been popular in other countries. On Halloween, in modern times is considered an American holiday.

The history of Halloween goes back more than 2,500 years, when the year ended Celtic at the end of the summer, the very day on October 31 in our calendar. Livestock was taken from pastures to the stables for the winter. That last day, it was assumed that the spirits could leave the cemetery and take over the bodies of the living to resurrect. To avoid this, villages Celtic dirty houses and "decorated" with bones, skulls and other unpleasant things, so that the dead rising from long scared. Hence comes the tradition of decorating houses with sinister motives in the current eve of All Saints' and the costumes.

The journey in search of candy child probably link to the Dutch tradition of the Feast of St. Maarten.

Traditions:

While not conceived a festival of Halloween without this vegetable, pumpkin is not a symbol of the primitive own Halloween or Samhain celebrating Celtic peoples of Europe. The Irish emigrants discovered pumpkin (pumpkin) to arrive as colonists to America (see "History of Halloween"). To find the origin of this fruit symbolic of the night of witches and their use as candil terrifying, you have to know the legend of Jack or Jack-o-lantern. Also we show different templates to cut pumpkins (pumpkin carving patterns), as well ambientarás so impeccable and realistic Halloween party at your house, which in American homes called "Halloween decores." Today, on the night of Halloween masquerade American children and go from house to house with a candle inserted in a pumpkin previously emptied. When you open the doors of the houses these shout "trick or treat" (trick or treatment), to imply that spent a joke whom no sort of a bonus, delicacy or money.
